I pulled up 10 large bags of bluebonnet seeds, ready to be sowed into the landscape. I have passed some on to friends and will put the remaining plants into my back wildflower patch.

Well friends, the 2012 wildflower season is just about over. Thanks to our winter rains and the warm spring weather, the bluebonnets were awesome! And now, the Mexican Hats and Coreopsis are still out there.

Reminder - if you have any of that nuisance weed "Bastard Cabbage", you need to pull it up by it's roots and then in the fall, check again for little plants. The State of Texas is formulating a plan for it's demise.
